Gastein is part of the enormous area Ski Amadé with 270 lift facilities and cable cars - one of the biggest skiing areas in Europe. The area includes 28 resorts situated in the Austrian regions of Salzburg and Styria.
New tariffs and season dates for the winter season 2010/2011
The actual Ski pass prices and the opening dates of the ski areas in the Gasteinertal can be checked on the site www.skigastein.com.
Age ranges:
- Adults: born 1990 or earlier
- Youths: born 1992, 1993, 1994 (photo ID required)
- Children: born 1994 through 2003 (photo ID required)
- Children born 2004 or later: special rates and terms of carriage may apply, based on region- and ski area-specific circumstances
Important information for a winter vacation in Gastein
Photo ID required for a ski pass valid for 8 days or longer! Automated photo booths are located at all ticket offices, existing photos may not be used.
In the event that the dates of your ski pass span two seasons, a price is calculated which reconciles the differing rates. During early, off-peak and peak seasons, skiing may be restricted to certain ski areas or to weekend operations.
Credit cards are generally accepted.

Family Bonus in the Ski area Amadé
Children under 6 ride free within the amadé Ski Alliance (special rates and terms of carriage may apply, based on region- and ski area-specific circumstances). The third and each subsequent child within a family, upon presentation of an official ID demonstrating family affiliation, also rides for free. Subsequent exchanges are not possible!
Easter Family Promotion
As of 12.03.2011, a free ski pass for your own children up to age 15 when purchasing the pass at the same time as at least one parent (applies only to 6- to 18-day ski passes; season- and value passes are excluded). Passes are only issued upon demonstration of proof of family affiliation. Subsequent exchanges are excluded.
Key Card
3 EURO deposit, refunded upon return of the Key Card. Photo required for 8-day passes or longer! Digital photos available free at the ticket office.
